STREET
BEGGARS
Seeing beggars is a very common sight in our country.
Extreme poverty has caused a lot of people to adapt beggary as a profession and
the number of beggars is increasing very rapidly in our country.
Beggars are of almost every age from infants to the
extreme old ones. They are very stubborn. They do not hesitate at all in asking
for charity from anybody at anytime. Usually, the narrate some awful stories to
the people to appeal their sense of sympathy and earn more and more.
Beggary has now become a profession for a lot of
people in Pakistan. Unfortunately, they are not condemned much and since they
are able to earn without any handwork so it has become a family business for a
lot of poor families who train their children to beg at an early age.
Begging is against the teachings of Islam. Islam
encourages people to earn their living by working hard so that they can lead a
respectable life. Beggary kills the self-respect of a beggar who becomes
shameless.
In short, we can say that beggars should be
discouraged. We should advise them to earn their living by working hard. If we
have to make Pakistan a progressive and prosperous country, we should wipe out
beggary from our society for good.
