This may mean ‘from one end to the other end (of)’, or ‘through any part of the length (of)’.

* We walked along the road.
* There were trees all along the banks of the canal.
* The ship sailed along the coast.
* Pass along the car, please. (A request made to passengers to move away from the entrance and leave it clear.)
* Move along, please.
* Hurry along, please.
* Come along! (Come on!)
* Come along with me.
