Conditional Type V

We
can use 'were' instead of 'was'. ≫

→ If he were you, he'd ask a lawyer for some advice.
(he’d ask = he would ask)
اگر وہ تمہاری جگہ ہوتا تو وہ کسی وکیل سے کچھ مشورے پوچھتا۔
→ If he were
you, he'd have asked a lawyer for some
advice.
(he’d ask = he would ask)
اگر وہ تمہاری جگہ ہوتا تو وہ کسی وکیل سے کچھ مشورے پوچھ چکا ہوتا۔۔
→ If she were you, she would have gone there.
→ If
I were you, I wouldn't buy that dress.

NOTE
→
Were I you, I would buy that dress.
It is not an
interrogative sentence. If you want to make an interrogative you should make
changes in main clause.
See this example:
→
Were I you, would
I buy that dress?
→ Were I you, I would have bought that
dress.
ہوتا نہ میں
تمہاری جگہ تو (میں)
وہ لباس خرید چکا ہوتا۔
→ Were he you, he'd ask a lawyer for some advice.
(he’d ask = he would ask)

(he’d ask = he would ask)
